When is coverage
effective?
A.
As soon as your application is submitted to 1TI with valid
payment information. We accept all major credit cards, money
orders, personal checks, and cash. There's no waiting period .
We recommend a credit card order if your trip is immediate so
that we can start processing your request as soon as possible.
Q.
Doesn't my credit
card provide flight accident coverage?
A. Yes, many do but be sure and
read the fine print. Most have very low aggregate coverage
amounts. We can think of one major credit card used by a
majority of travelers that limits "per incident"
aggregate amounts terrifically. Benefit limits are shared by
all passengers that used that credit card. If the aggregate
limit is $1,000,000 and 200 passengers used that card company
for purchasing their tickets, each would be entitled to a
$5,000 benefit.

What happens to my
Medicare coverage if I leave the country?
A. Check your supplemental
coverage policy. A few provide coverage outside of the U.S.

Will I receive a
confirmation of my purchase?
A. Yes, a confirmation will be
created on the web site for you (including important phone
numbers) and a hard copy will be mailed within 48 to 72 hours.
We can also fax your confirmation. If you are leaving
immediately, you can call our customer service center for your
policy number. You can access policy coverage immediately.

Will I need medical
coverage for my visa application?
A. Some countries are requiring
both medical coverage and repatriation (return of remains).
Check before you order coverage for your international
destinations where a visa is required. We recommend that
anyone leaving the country obtain a medical policy for
coverage abroad. We can assist you.

What is the
Multi-Trip Plan?
A. It is a convenient and
economical way to purchase coverage for a year at a time. Our
programs cover trips over 120 miles from your home with a
duration less than 90 days. You can travel by car, boat,
plane, etc. It is a perfect product for the frequent business
or leisure traveler.

car coverage. What's the catch?
A. Our rental car coverage is
among the most comprehensive and most inexpensive coverage you
can get. Our coverage is primary which indicates that
it pays first and eliminates the need to seek payment from
anyone else. Secondary coverage pays after you have exhausted
every other avenue for collection and might leave you with a
large deductible or copay and force you to report any claims
to your auto insurer. Ask the rental agency which type they
